What do I need to be able to rent a jetski?
There are just a few basics. You must:
*Be at least 18 years old.
*Provide a valid driver license or similar valid ID at time of rental (in
*Provide a major credit card in your name.
*Provide a $500 - $1,000 damage deposit by credit card or cash.
What information do you provide that I might need while jet skiing?
We will go over everything you need to know about the jetski you are renting...a full orientation on jet ski driving, safety, safety equipment location and use...all "rules of the road" (lake).
We are very knowledgable of the lake but also provide you with a detailed lake map with all the "HOT SPOTS" on the water. From Copper Canyon, Steamboat Cove, Sand Bar, Pirate Cove, private beaches, Indian Petroglyphs, Topock Gorge.
You can also download a full set of USCG safety documents and a Lake Map from our site. See Downloads.
What if the jetski sustains damage during my rental?
It is hard to damage a jetski as long as you are doing everything properly. You are responsible for damages to the jetski caused by you, someone with you, or another watercraft. The jetski will be examined upon return and you will be presented with a cost for repairs within 48 hours. Your $500 - $1,000 damage deposit can be used to pay for all or part or of the repairs. Remember, we are in the business to rent watercraft and not to make money off damaged equipment. We will treat you fairly and honestly should an unfortunate accident occur.
Do I get my damage deposit back?
Yes, provided there is no damage to the jetski. If there is damage you may choose to have the cost of repairs taken from the deposit, by another credit card, or with cash.
What should I bring
for the day?
The jetskis can hold small, softsided coolers and so you can pack drinks, lunch, snacks...whatever you want. It is a good idea to bring lots of water as you will be out in the sun all day. Bring plenty of sunscreen!
Do I have to launch
Absolutely not! We'll launch it for you and will pick you up at an agreed upon time at the same ramp.
How much fuel will I use?
At full throttle, a jetski's fuel tank will last approximately 1 hour - but in that time you will have ridden over 50 miles! Realistically you should be able to get 4 hours of normal use from a tank. There are several places on the lake where you can refuel, but be aware that lake fuel is rather more expensive that your local gas station! Keep an eye on the fuel gauge.
How long can I rent a boat or jetski?
Our typical rental times are 4 hours (1/2 day) and 8 hours (full day). We also offer overnight rentals but you must provide valid proof of a marina or hotel slip (dock space) rental. If your needs are different that our typical times, we are very flexible and can almost always accommodate your schedule.
What is your cancellation policy?
During non-holiday periods, as long as you cancel at least 72 hours before the rental you will receive your initial deposit back. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the rental your card will be charged a $50 per day per vessel fee. If you are a "No Show" on the day of the rental you will be charged the full rental fee.
For holiday days, the cancellation fee shall be half of the total rental fee.
What happens if the weather is bad?
If it is raining or there is a lake wind advisory in effect or predicted you will not be charged. We would never make you go out in dangerous conditions.
